Not sure what some of the other reviewers were thinking, but this is a workbook that goes along Adam’s free video course on trading. In that respect this is an A+ book. This book also has some great thought provoking text and articles that compliment Adam’s other awesome work in the world of trading. I’d say to any new or struggling trader who’s serious about trading - buy this book, go through the video course, and spend time on exercises in this book. It will change you in a very positive manner and quite possibly make you a profitable trader. Finally, to the reviewer who was gripping about a cheaper kindle version being made available after he’d bought the more expensive hard copy, I’d like to say this: this is not a book you want to read on kindle. This is a book you want to write on, draw on, highlight sentences, put question marks, mark candles in charts, draw support/resistance lines, trace your trade setups - in other words really get intimate with it. Don’t sweat the $50 you spent on this book - if you use it the way it’s intended to be used, I’m pretty sure the return on your investment will be at least 6 figures!
I own both of his books. I am working my through both and it has already helped me. Out of the many trading books and courses I have, this is where I wished I started years ago. It one of the best out there.

A condensed but extensive book of trading, literally no filler and the author only put what is important. This book meant to be a companion book of author’s free trading course on his website hence this book contain practice page that makes you really thinks,his 1st book is more standalone book of trading.
After been reading so many trading book, I find out that most of the trading book in the market are making things complex until your head full of knowledge and at the same time paralyzed by the knowledge.I think a true master able to make complex thing become simple and useful, and Adam grime did it. Good job.

Disclaimer: I consider the author to be a mentor and friend and I have to admit that I would not write a negative review but rather remain silent. Luckily I do not to have remain silent.This book delivers what it promises. It contains exercises for the author’s free trading course on marketlife.com, collected blog posts from adamhgrimes.com and mostly unpublished whitepapers. It is both huge and small, offers deep but light reading, has theoretical thoughts and practical application – in summary it reflects the spectrum and tension of the subjects any professional trader has to deal with between rules and discretion, risk and reward, randomness and confidence, skill and luck etc.It is completely different from any of the trading books I know (not bragging, but I have read quite a few…) in that it challenges conventional trading wisdom and offers different ways of how to think about market concepts such as support and resistance, randomness/noise, MA acting as support, Fibonacci etc.The first part is supporting the free trading course and is structured into sections first about general trading concepts and later about specific chart patterns derived from such concepts and each section is supported by essays that are either directly related to the content or ideas and food for thought on further concepts on trading and especially learning to trade.The second part of the book is a collection of whitepapers either partially published in blog format or completely new that will be most appealing to the developing trader in her first steps to create and “use a rigorous statistical framework to support the growth of real market intuition".Let’s be clear - you do not need to buy this book. Much of its content is published either in the free trading course on marketlife.com as downloadable homework in pdf format or can be found in blog posts on adamhgrimes.com. One can easily look up the table of content and simply google the subtitles in most of the chapters to get to the relevant blog posts.Why should you still buy it? The author is likely one of the most prolific writers in trading literature. There is no need to mention the depth of thought, clarity of communication and consistency of concepts as anybody interested can check this by reading his blog. It is still convenient to have a consolidated tome of his most important essays and especially his unpublished whitepapers – "Quantitative Evidence of the Two Forces" should be of interest for anyone involved in financial markets, either discretionary technical trader, professional security analyst.
