Rob Price is a first class certified personal trainer and a former fitness consultant at the University of Wisconsin. He is a national weight lifting champion and state bench press record holder who has been featured in newspapers and magazines all over the world, including the USA Today and Muscle & Performance magazine, for his sports-training expertise. Rob is a contributing author to Golf Fitness Magazine, Swimmer's World Magazine, US Bowler Magazine, and OnFitness magazine and is the founder and head trainer of SportsWorkout.com's e-Training service. In addition to being an internationally recognized fitness expert, Rob also holds a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University where he was honored as one of ten Moritz Scholars.

Great book. Very specific techniques
I recommend this book to anyone looking to get in shape. Not just for rugby but for life.
My rugby playing son says this is a great training guide, and that he has brought many of the ideas and tips to his team during their weight training work-outs.
If the indifferent copy editing doesn't give it away this book is awful. The total lack of fundamental weightlifting technique in this book is the first issue. The impenetrable, terrible instructions are another issue. When I pick up a weightlifting book, what I want to see is an emphasis on the four major lifts and programs constructed around those lifts. This book doesn't have that. Instead you get an exhaustive listing of various exercises, carried over from other sources, so that the company doesn't have to bother creating new content. (I have the football version.) Don't buy this book. Buy this book:UComplete Conditioning for RugbyWhich in addition to having superior exposition on weightlifting, manages to corral a comprehensive program on agility, speed, and fitness between the pages.And this book:Starting Strength, 3rd editionFor the fundamentals of weightlifting.All I can say is avoid this one. Beginners won't have the information they need to begin making steps forward in the gym, and there is absolutely nothing useful in here if you have even a figment of an idea about how to lift weights. One of the most useless books I've ever spent money on.
Numerous typos, and formatting mistakes. Content was okay but nothing ground breaking. I'm sure you can find the same info online formatted much better.
Simple read. Provides some good ideas for conditioning and weightlifting. Recommend if you need to go back to the basics and get motivated again.
This book breaks down workouts in an easy way to understand. The text explains how to lift properly in each list and even has pictures for those that need the visualization. Stongly recommend this book for anyone that wants to lift for rugby or just wants to be in outstanding shape because this book sets you up to be prepared for anything.
Liking this book already! Cannot wait to start the training!
